Gallbladder Pain

Gallbladder Pain

Gallbladder pain usually occurs as one of the symptoms of gallbladder disease. It is accompanied by other symptoms, such as:

  •  Indigestion
  •  Heartburn
  •  Belching
  •  Nausea
  •  Bloating
  •  Vomiting

The pain is likely to start after a meal. It can be very persistent and last from several minutes to a few hours. In some cases, this pain can be unbearable and usually accompanied by severe vomiting and constant nausea. These are the first symptoms of a gallbladder attack.

Gallbladder Attack – What Are the Symptoms?`

  • As we said, gallbladder pain is one of the first symptoms of a gallbladder attack. Nausea, vomiting, belching, bloating and abdominal discomfort are other common symptoms.
  • Gallbladder pain is usually caused by gallstones. However, not all stones lead to problems. In fact, small stones do not cause any complications, and people live with these stones, without even knowing about it. However, once the stones get larger in size, they will probably start causing problems.
  • Gallstones can get stuck inside the bile duct and obstruct the bile flow. The bile will not be able to reach the intestines, and a person will start having some of the symptoms mentioned above.

Gallbladder Pain without Gallstones

  • Is it possible to have gallbladder pain, but no gallstones? Yes, it is. The pain can be triggered by other problems related to your gallbladder. The problem is that most gallbladder disorders have similar symptoms, so it is hard to tell whether these problems are caused by gallstones or something else.
  • Gallbladder pain can be treated, but you have to visit your doctor in time – the sooner the better. If you just leave it untreated, it can become worse, and other problems can occur, too. Your doctor will determine the cause of this pain and based on that, you will get your therapy. Gallbladder problems are usually treated with natural remedies and prescription medications. Of course, the treatment will be more successful and it will last shorter if the problem is diagnosed early. If you ignore the pain and leave it untreated, other complications can develop and some of them may require gallbladder surgery.
  • People who suffer from gallbladder problems will have to make some moderations to their lifestyle – especially diet. Keep in mind that gallbladder pain is a signal coming from your body, telling you that something is wrong. It is a clear sign that you have to change your eating habits.
  • Gallbladder diet includes most of the healthy foods; however, some foods (even the healthy ones) will have to be avoided, such as broccoli and cabbage. These are called “gassy” foods, and they are generally difficult to digest. The purpose of a gallbladder diet is to make digestion easier and to help your digestive tract work well, even without the gallbladder.
  • Patients who have had gallbladder surgery will have to follow the doctor’s instructions and avoid certain foods for good. For example, foods that contain a lot of fats (junk food, fatty meat, fried foods, fatty dairy products, fatty sauces, butter, margarine, mayonnaise, egg yolk, etc) will be excluded from the patient’s diet. Artificial sweeteners, sugary foods, alcohol, and caffeine will have to be avoided as well.
  • Some people may experience abdominal pain and other symptoms of gallstones, even after the surgery. However, a proper diet will help you deal with these problems, and over time, these symptoms will go away. The most important thing is to be disciplined when it comes to your diet. If you have any questions, talk to your nutritionist and/or your doctor.

  1. Does your blog have a contact page? I’m having a tough time
locating it but, I’d like to send you an e-mail. I’ve got some suggestions for
your blog you might be interested in hearing.

  2. I have been browsing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It is pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all web owners and bloggers
made good content as you did, the internet will be a lot more useful than ever
    before.

  3. When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment.
Is there any way you can remove people from that service?

    Thank you!
